In mathematics, a product is a quantity obtained by multiplying quantities together, or from an analogous algebraic operation.
The word product originates from the late Middle English where it got from Latin productum "something produced," neuter past participle used as a noun of producere "bring forth". This complicated ethnological history brought us such a word as a product that we use in our everyday life pretty often.
Products are produced by manufactures for consumers. That is why we define what they are going to produce and in which quantity. Before developing and introducing some new product, a company usually performs some kind of research to find out the desire of purchasers, clients, and surely consumers for this item.
