Gina, I apologize, I misunderstood your comment, I am utterly exhausted right now...it\'s seven a.m. here, I\'ve been unwell, and not sleeping.I want to be clear that bodyshapers are NOT only for people a bit overweight. Women that are 100lbs wear them to make their clothes look \"smooth\", without any lines or bulges. I have studied fashion, and repeatedly read that a great outfit begins with your undergarments....a well fitted bra and panties...and a well-fitted girdle/body shaper. I am, at 41 yrs. old, finally understanding this.... and want to teach my daughter how to dress nicely. Her body image is extremely distorted, as mine was at her age. I WAS very heavy...and was teased mercissley from the age of 8 thru 16, when I lost 30lbs.... To this day, it has affected my self image. It breaks my heart to watch my child...who is nowhere near as heavy I was. Yes, she is chubby...but not grotesque...and much more fashion savvy than I was. She has beautiful hair, etc. and knows how to put an outfit together....but she tends to wear tops that cling to her middle...drawing attention. I do tell her she\'s only about to turn 13, a work in progress, and to be patient. But in the meantime, to draw attention to her good qulaties...PERSONALITY FIRST, (as teasing has a zero tolerance policy in our home...I explalined how cruel and damaging it is) then, outer appearance.I explained to wear outfites that show her legs, face, etc....and she has truly made an effort....I told her about body shapers. Initially she was offended, and I explained 100lb \"movie stars\" and everyday women wear them to make their clothes \"lie\" nicely.So...is it worth purchasing tthe KYMARO shapers? Or is it better to go to the dept. stores and try them on? It\'s such a good deal...I would like to get sets for myself and my daughter...EIGHT pieces for $40 plus S & H? That fits my budget....Signed, Confused Consumer (that still hasn\'t pushed \"click\")
